Unrequited Love

Is there any pain like heartache? I'm not sure. I think it's easier to be lonely than heartbroken. A lonely heart doesn't feel the pain of former memories. It doesn't feel betrayed, it doesn't recollect the past, and liken it to a cancer which prevents one from moving forward; almost wishing it never met the object of anguish to begin with. When considering loneliness, we generally mean lacking companionship or perhaps being  separated from others. However, the difference between heartache and loneliness is emotional agony. Perhaps, one can be lonely and okay; but never heartbroken, without the cognitive affliction of mental anguish. Anyway..... it's my opinion.
