Yes...I've been away.

Sooooo, about that blogging every week. I kind of got bogged down by the adversities of everyday life. And in the mean time, the middle east has had several revolutions, protest have erupted in Wisconsin, and Japan has had it's largest earthquake ever. Needless to say, i have some catching up to do. However, i've  successfully applied to law school, and I'm going to start blogging again. I've written another poem in the mean time, I call this one Henrietta.

Henrietta
Henrietta,
I drift along your loving stream,
You are a wayward river.
And when I put you in my mouth,
Your liquid makes me quiver.

Your liquid is as sweet as nectar,
Though one hundred times more potent.
And if any man abuses you,
You’ll kill em, I ain’t jokin.

But you also go for women too,
You don’t care about who or when.
And whenever you are by my side,
The party can begin.

Some people say that you’re a bitch,
An evil on this world.
But I say, “fuck the masses babe,”
You’re the perfect kind of girl.

You’re a comfort to the broken hearted,
A buddy and a friend.
And when the feelings start to wear,
A kiss brings them again.

And whenever things get too intense,
And suddenly I'm hurting.
I simply call our good friend aqua,
And once more things are working.

To Henrietta Hangover,
A lover and a friend.
A bitch, a beer, a wine and spirit,
Our love will never end.

A Few Thoughts From The Dark

As I write this blog, I sit in the dark. Not for melodramatic effect, but because the power is out. I’m using a word processor, and by the time this is posted, the power will have returned.  It’s funny to see the reactions of people when conventional conveniences like electricity are taken away. As I write, the restlessness of the students is like a crescendo. This blog is short, and not about any particular topic. However, I do have a poem that suits the occasion……..bear with me, I’m no poet.

The moon is bright,
The stars as well.
Surrounded by darkness,
It seems like hell.

But if darkness is empty,
And nothing at all.
Perhaps it’s not bad,
When darkness revolves.

Perhaps it’s like nothing,
When nothing’s the matter.
When nothing can bother,
Then nothing’s the matter.

When nothing’s at hand,
You stand a bit prouder.
Your light shines the brightest,
When nothing’s the matter.
